Saint-Petersburg Party on July 20, 2007

In accordance with the agreement singed by H.E. Mr. Vladimir V. Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, and H.E. Mr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime-Minister of India, the forthcoming 2008 is declared the Year of Russia in India. In this connection the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Mumbai is planning to hold a series of events in the course of the preparations for this great festival aimed at the celebrating the time-tested friendship between our two great nations. The program of the "Year" will also include the Days of Saint-Petersburg in Mumbai.

On July 20, 2007, the Consulate General jointly with the Zenzi Restaurant organized a function named "Saint-Petersburg Party". This event was held with the purpose to promote the forthcoming Year of Russia in India and the Days of Saint-Petersburg in Mumbai in 2008 and demonstrate some features of the modern Russia's culture like electronic music to enrich the knowledge of the Indian public about our country current life. The guests to the party were the members of the Consular Corps of Mumbai and distinguished representatives of social and cultural circles of the city. The event was held with big success and received positive coverage in such newspapers like Times of India (Bombay Times), DNA (After Hours) and Hindustan Times (HT Cafe).
